Privacy Policy

1. Your account

After you choose "Share" or "Don't Share" on the screen shown at first launch, the App creates an anonymous ID that contains no personal information. The anonymous ID is created with Supabase Auth.

The App currently does not ask for or collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address, or phone number.

2. Information we collect

The App handles the following information.

• Required for the App to work (all users): records of cleared levels (anonymous ID, stage, level, and the date and time you first cleared it). We use these to save your progress and show which levels you have cleared.
• Play records (only if you choose to share): the level played, clear or fail, time taken, score, max combo, accuracy, start and end times, and the app version and platform.
• Per-tap records (only if you choose to share): the string and fret you tapped, whether it was correct, your reaction time from the prompt to the tap, the question (the correct position and number of candidates), and the hint settings.
• Degree stage details (only if you choose to share): the position of the starting root, the degree, and the key.
• Information sent during communication: when the App communicates with our servers, your IP address and the date and time of access may be recorded on our service provider's servers.
• Stored only on your device (in your browser for the web version): your consent choices (the version of the Terms you accepted and your sharing choice), volume settings, information used to keep you signed in, the last stage you selected, and similar settings. These are not sent to our servers.

3. How we use information

• To provide the App (saving and showing your progress)
• To analyze and improve the learning experience and the questions
• To offer, in the future, questions tailored to your weak spots (personalized learning)

4. Sharing play data is optional

Collection of play records, per-tap records, and Degree stage details is optional. If you choose "Don't Share" at first launch, we do not collect them.

You can change your choice anytime in the App's Settings. Once you turn sharing off, we stop collecting from that point on. Data collected before that is not deleted automatically; you can delete it as described in Section 8.

5. Ads, tracking, and third parties

The App shows no ads and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not sell your information.

We do not provide your information to third parties except as required by law (other than entrusting its handling to the service provider in Section 6).

6. Service providers

We use Supabase (Supabase Pte. Ltd., Singapore) for our database and authentication. The information described in Section 2 that is stored on our servers is kept on servers in the United States (AWS US East region).

We use Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States) to deliver the web version and to measure traffic and page performance.

We entrust these providers with handling information only to the extent needed to provide the App. The information stored on our servers consists of an anonymous ID and learning records, and does not include information that directly identifies you, such as your name or email address.

7. Retention

We keep the information until you delete your account.

8. Deleting your data

In the App's Settings, "Delete Account and Data" deletes your anonymous ID and all information stored on our servers as described in Section 2 (cleared levels, play records, per-tap records, and Degree stage details). Deletion cannot be undone.

Deleting the App from your device (or clearing your browser data for the web version) does not delete the information on our servers. Because your anonymous ID is stored only on your device (in your browser), we cannot confirm which data belongs to you when you contact us. For this reason, we cannot delete a specific user's data after the App or browser data has been deleted. If you want your data deleted, use "Delete Account and Data" before deleting the App.

9. Security

Communication is encrypted. Access controls ensure that information on our servers can be accessed only by the holder of that anonymous ID.

10. Children

The App has no age restriction. If you are a minor, please use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as needed. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For changes that significantly affect you, we will also notify you in the App before they take effect.
